What Does the Classroom Support Plan Look Like?
After admission, ask for a written plan that specifies classroom accommodations and who is responsible for following up on them, not just a verbal promise to “look into it.”
Follow up directly and regularly with the teacher; ongoing communication between the family and teacher is often more important than any formal item written into the plan.
When Do You Need Additional Support Outside the School?
If you feel the school alone isn't enough, combining school support with an independent educational consultation helps review the plan with an outside perspective and set clearer priorities.
